Going back to Iceland

Things have been going downhill with our landlord for some time now, seems like she likes having people pay for the flat but not living in it.
The whole thing made me think of what next and inevitably Iceland has been going around my mind.
I think one of the reasons I am still here and not where, for all intent and purposes, is my home is one simple reason. I'm afraid of confronting the issues I will have to confront if I go back there. Friendships will be lost, people will be angry, but when I was ten I imagined myself walking along winded path over grassy countryside and I refuse to exile myself from what I have come to consider my home:

Fögur er hlíðin svo að mér hefir hún

aldrei jafnfögur sýnst, bleikir akrar en
slegin tún, og mun eg ríða heim aftur og fara

Njáls saga

So next year I will probably walk those grassy hills again. But before I do there is one thing I need to say and need to be heard:

Logi emotionally abused me.

I will go back to Iceland and I will not pretend as if this did not happen. My home is my home.

to be continued...

Thinking about the future + pms + wine might be a bad idea

A friend of mine has asked me if I might replace her in pregnancy leave as a physio in Iceland, in the not really near, but also not so distance future.
Apart from the fact that job offers are nice, people in Blönduós have been welcoming and I really could do with another evening of Skat the thought of going back to Iceland is (literally) keeping me awake at night. Sweet, sweet insomnia, how I haven't missed you. It is the place I call home and remembering the last three years there feels like staring down an abyss. Gloom and doom! (side note: I love the words gloom and doom I cannot say them without stretching out the oooooo )
There are also unresolved issues and things that at some point might appear on this blog (if I'm brave enough to publish), but for now this is the question, go back home and see if Iceland and me can't get along and if not then where? I am getting to the age where a permanent home might be nice.

Gloooom and dooooom!

Apparantly I'm an Icelandic company

I googled myself today. I wanted to see if my blog will appear if someone types in my name (kind of the point of it). It does, though my old theater Shenanigans still come first. So did this: somehow I made it on a World Companies List. Kennitala and everything. I'm glad the þjóskrá is so careful with my private data and does not let random websites have access to it.
I also found Christine, but not any other of the Physios in Blönduós. I also did not find Bjarni, nor Beanstalks so the data seems a bit random. Sorry © World Companies List 2013 you do not seem like a reliable source to me.

Correction, it was not the þjóskrá, but the RSK which handed out my data, same difference, really.
Except... if they are still under the impression I am/run a company, does this mean I owe them shitloads of taxes now?
